Suji ka halwa or Sheera is a classic Indian semolina pudding made with sugar, ghee and dry fruits. The recipe I have shared is a family heirloom recipe. To begin with this particular recipe, we must prepare a few components. You can cook suji halva using 5 ingredients and 3 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Suji Halva:
  1. Prepare 1 bowl halva
  2. Get 4 bowl warm water
  3. Take to taste Sugar
  4. Take 2 tbsp ghee
  5. Take 10-20 almomds for garnish

On the same note the sheera recipe is also a bit different from this halwa, Suji Ka Halwa or Sooji Halwa is a popular Indian dessert which is especially prepared during various festivals and religious functions. During festivals -Navratra Puja aka Navratri Puja or Durga Puja, Vijayadashmi aka Dusshera, Diwali etc Suji Halwa is served along with other festive food items - Puri, Kala Chana, Aloo Ki Sabji, Jeera Aloo and Boondi Raita or Kaddu Raita (Pumpkin Raita). This recipe for sooji ka halwa ("made with semolina") is a popular version with many families because it is one of those simple but very satisfying desserts that hits the sweet spot every time. I have slightly flavored the halwa with cardamom and nuts.

This recipe for sooji ka halwa ("made with semolina") is a popular version with many families because it is one of those simple but very satisfying desserts that hits the sweet spot every time. I have slightly flavored the halwa with cardamom and nuts. Again you can skip both if you want, totally optional. My mom's everyday sooji halwa (or suji halwa) never had nuts in it. She didn't even add cardamom powder.
