- Prepare 1 cup semolina 3 cup milk 8 tablespoon ghee or butter. Halwa made in butter is more tasty
- Take 1 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder 12 to 15 strands of saffron 2 tablespoon raisins 2 drops orange colour
- Prepare 18-20 cashew nuts
- Take Some chopped pistachios to garnish
It is traditionally served slightly warm, but tastes equally good chilled. When served warm, the kesari has a soft, almost melt in the mouth texture though it becomes slightly more solid and sets a bit if refrigerated. - Take 3 cup o milk in a pan and add sugar to it and boil until sugar dissolves add saffron and food colour at the same time. - In a pan add 8 tablespoon of ghee and heat. - Add semolina to ghee and roast until golden brown. Add raisins and cashew and roast for 1 minute.
- Add boiling milk to semolina and keep stirring until the whole mixture is thicken and the ghee starts leaving sides. Please keep on stirring when adding milk at the mixture can splutter - Rava kesari is ready.
- Transfer in a mould to get nice pattern
- Press the halwa in mould
- Turn it upside down in serving plate and garnish with nuts and saffron
