Instructions to make Fairy cakes:
  1. Turn the oven onto 180 fan.
  2. Mix the butter and sugar together until it’s light and fluffy.
  3. Add the 2 eggs and mix together.
  4. Mix the self raising flour into the mix and stir in a teaspoon of vanilla essence.
  5. Using a table spoon and a teaspoon put the mix into the bun cases. I put approx one table spoon in each bun case.
  6. Bake in the oven for around 20mins/ until they’re golden and risen. Once out leave to cool on a cooling tray.
  7. Make the icing by pouring tiny amounts of boiling water into the icing sugar until it’s the thickness you want. I like it to be quite thick not runny and it’s easier to spread and decorate. Decorate with sprinkles, sweets etc how ever you like. (Add the sprinkles after icing each bun so they stick)
