- Fot tamarind chutney. Blenched tamarind with salt in a microwave for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes take out tamarind from micro oven. Cool it and strain it. In a kadai. Add tamarind pulp, and all the spices and jaggery. Boil till the jaggery dissolves and the chutney will become in thick consistency. Once it is done. Keep aside.
- For chole. Wash and drain chole. Boiled chole in cooker with little salt for 6 whistles. Once it is done. Keep aside.
- Cool it and open the lid. Transfer to a bowl. In the same cooker add 2 tbsp oil. Add cumin seeds, 1 bay lweaf and chopped onion. Fry for few minutes.
- Then add tomato puree and green chilly, ginger and garlic paste and salt. Saute it for few minutes. Add boiled chole. Cook till it the gravy become thick.
