  2. Make ready 7-8 Shallot onions

  7. Take 4-5 Red chillies
  8. Prepare 1 green chilli
  9. Take 1 tspn Jeera
  10. Prepare 1 Small quantity of tamarind

Peel and finely slice the onions, roughly chop the tomatoes and deseed and finely slice the chilli. Put everything in a pan, season to taste and stir well to combine. Pour into a sterilised jar and leave to cool. Heat gently stirring until the sugar has dissolved.

Steps to make Tomato Chutney:
  1. Wash the tomatoes and cut it into big pieces.
  2. Take a pan, add oil and add all ingredients except Jeera
  3. Roast it till it become mushy. Let it cool. Shift into mixie jar. Add jeera before grinding. Grind it.
  4. Take a pan, add oil and mustard. Add raw chuteny and cook until it becomes dry.

Pour into a sterilised jar and leave to cool. Heat gently stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Put all the ingredients, apart from the vinegar, in a preserving pan or large, deep saucepan. Add half the vinegar and season. Place the pan over a medium heat.
