To get started with this particular recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can have milk toffee using 5 ingredients and 9 steps. Here is how you cook it.

The ingredients needed to make Milk Toffee:
  1. Get 250 gm Milk made
  2. Prepare 1 cup Water
  3. Get 1 tsp Vanila essence
  4. Prepare 1 tbsp Butter
  5. Get 2 tbsp Cashew Nut chopped

To make this treat, you will be caramelizing sweetened condensed milk and sugar over the stove top. Milk toffee can be somewhat likened to crunchy, crumbly caramel squares, English Toffee, or hardened fudge. But it is very unique in flavor and texture. One of the most cherished sweets of my childhood.

Instructions to make Milk Toffee:
  1. Put saucepan on heat to heat for a min void of all water.
  2. Pour condensed milk in saucepan.
  3. Add the butter
  4. Start continue stirring.
  5. Continue stirring till the colour changed to golden brown & the liquid solidifies. Then add vanila essence & cashew nut mix well.
  6. Take a plate & greased some butter.
  7. Pour the mixture in the plate & keep it from cooling for around 15 mins.
  8. Once it is cool down give shape like marbles.
  9. Then serve…

But it is very unique in flavor and texture. One of the most cherished sweets of my childhood. As milk and sugar tend to get clumpy & sticky when cooking, make sure to stir often. Variants of kiri toffee in the world. In some regions of Sri Lanka, you will also find kiri toffee under the name kiri aluwa.
