Rava laddu is a South Indian Sweet made with semolina, sugar, ghee, cashews and raisins. Rava is the Indian term for semolina & laddu are sweet balls. Also known as suji ladoo in other parts of India, these are usually made during festivals & are great to gift. These rava ladoo are delicious, aromatic and have a melt in the mouth texture with a slight crunch.

The ingredients needed to make Rava laddus:
- Get 1.25 cups Rava (semolina) -
- Prepare Sugar - 3/4 th cup
- Take 3 Cardamom -

- Prepare Raisins & cashew nuts (handful)

Instructions to make Rava laddus:
- Dry roast the Rava until it begins to smell. Set aside to cool down.
- Powder the sugar along with the cardamoms.
- Add the roasted Rava and blend together once more.
- Now fry for raisins and cashew nuts in some ghee.
- Add these to the Rava mix, along with rest of the ghee.
- Shape the mixture into small laddus.
Do not let the rava to turn brown. Rava Laddu is a great favourite in my home. I use this recipe to make Rava Laddu without any milk or coconut so that Laddus have a long-shelf life. This is especially important during festivals like Diwali when I make these Rava Ladoos in advance to share with visiting family and friends. Rava ladoo is a traditional Maharashtrian sweet.
