  9. Take 1.5 Tsp Lemon juice

  1. In a saucepan, heat some water and add to it dried red chilies in the quantity as mentioned above. Bring it to boil then simmer at low flame for 3 to 4 minutes until the chilies get soft.
  2. Alternatively you can soak the dried red chilies overnight and avoid the boiling process.
  3. Now drain the water and let the chilies cool down.
  4. Now in a mixer jar, grind together- garlic cloves, cooled red chilies, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, 2 teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder and 8 teaspoons of water.
  5. Be very careful when you open the Grinder jar because the chillies might get into your nose.
  6. Now take another saucepan, heat 2 tablespoon mustard oil in it.
  7. No splatter 1 teaspoon mustard seeds and then add the garlic paste along with 2 tablespoon water. Here I have used garlic water which i got from cleaning my mixer jar.
  8. Cook this for one minute and then add 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4th to half teaspoon sugar depending on your taste. Cook for another one minute and then switch off the gas.
  9. Now add 1.5 teaspoon of lemon juice in it. Mix it nicely. Store in a glass container in refrigerator for up to 15 days.
  10. Enjoy this garlic Chutney with fritters, stuffed parathas, dosas etc
