  4. Prepare 2 tsp Coriander powder

  6. Prepare 1/4 tsp asafoetida
  7. Get 1/2 tsp carom seeds
  8. Make ready To taste salt
  9. Prepare 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  10. Prepare 1 tsp amchoor powder
  11. Take 2 tbsp roasted gram flour/besan

Add the boiled arbi cubes to the above and let it fry. When the arbi is half-cooked, add salt and mango powder. Cook until the arbi look little crispy and golden brown. Yummy, delicious taro/cheppankizhangu/arbi fry is ready to be enjoyed.

Instructions to make Crispy Taros/Arbi/Ghuiyan:
  1. Firstly boil taros in a pressure cooker.after that peel off all taro.
  2. Now heat the oil in a wok.deep fry all taros on high to medium flame untill colour is become golden brown.now switch off the gas.
  3. After that heat same wok and add 2 tsp oil.now add asafoetida and splutter the carom seeds.now add taros/arbi in it.then add coriander powder,red chilli powder,amchoor powder, turmeric powder and salt.mix it very well.
  4. Now add roasted gram flour/besan in it and mix it.after that cook it for 3 minutes on low flame.

Cook until the arbi look little crispy and golden brown. Yummy, delicious taro/cheppankizhangu/arbi fry is ready to be enjoyed. Serve them hot along with white rice, sambar, rasam and other kuzhambu varieties.
